Thinking Like a Generalist Instructor's Guide

Thinking Like a Generalist can be used as a core text in a variety of education classes: general curriculum, reading and writing in the content areas, writing pedagogy, general language arts. In this instructor’s guide, we will explain how we have used the concepts in Thinking Like a Generalist to teach an online course on teaching nonfiction writing for intermediate and middle school teachers (pre- and in-service). Our course was designed as an 8-week term, but each module could be split or adapted for a full 16-week semester.
